Ethel Street
Having completed a beautiful renovation on their classic double-fronted Edwardian house, our clients wanted to improve their front garden.
Our advice was to lower the level, to give a sense of space, and to completely renovate the planting. We replaced tired plants and species unsuited to our changing climate, and created a vibrant, blowsy garden to complement and balance the tight dimensions of the front garden.
The olive tree central to this design speaks to the migrant heritage of the area, and the westerly aspect, shielding a busy road. We cleverly combine native and exotic species to give year-long interest and a sense of bountiful calm and welcome.
